Before You Adopt a Fidget Fox

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about your Fidget Fox before adopting one.

Every Fidget Fox is individually handmade by me, one at a time. They aren't mass produced, and no two will ever be exactly alike. While I loosely follow the same pattern for each fox, I don't aim to make identical copies. Instead, I let each fox develop its own unique character as I create it.

Because of this, every fox will vary slightly. Some have larger ears, some have shorter or curlier tails, some have chunkier bodies, and some are a little lighter or heavier than others. These aren't flaws or imperfections—they're simply part of the handmade process and one of the things that makes every Fidget Fox truly one of a kind.

Materials

Different foxes are made using different yarns depending on the look and feel I want to create. This may include:

  • Merino wool

  • Alpaca

  • Cotton

  • Acrylic

  • Or something else

The materials used for each fox will always be listed on their individual adoption profile.

Crystals & Personality

Each Fidget Fox comes with its own carefully chosen crystal, which is inside each fox (not to be or designed to be taken out).

Every crystal has its own traditional meaning, which inspires that fox's unique personality and adoption story

While these meanings are based on traditional crystal associations, they are included simply as a fun and meaningful part of each fox's character.

Sensory Features

  • Every Fidget Fox is different.

  • Depending on the individual fox, they may include a combination of sensory features such as:

  • Weighted body

  • Weighted arms and/or legs

  • Crinkly ears

  • Tummy rocker switch

  • Rolling weighted limbs

  • Soft textures

  • Curly or fluffy tails

  • Different yarn textures

Caring for Your Fidget Fox

Fidget Foxes are handmade companions and should be treated with care.

To help your fox last as long as possible:

Spot clean only with a damp cloth.

Do not machine wash or tumble dry.

Allow to air dry completely if damp.

Store in a cool, dry place away from prolonged direct sunlight.

Avoid excessive pulling, twisting or rough handling.

Do not chew or place in the mouth.

Inspect regularly for signs of wear or damage.

Safety Information

Fidget Foxes are handmade sensory companions.

They are not intended to be used as children's toys and are not designed for rough play.

Each fox contains weighted components and small parts. Every care has been taken to securely construct each companion; however, like all handmade textile products, they should be inspected regularly.

If your Fidget Fox shows any signs of damage, including loose stitching, holes, tears or exposed components, discontinue use immediately.

Adult supervision is recommended where appropriate.

Fidget Foxes may present a choking hazard if damaged or misused.

This means no two foxes will ever be exactly alike. Slight differences in shape, size, weight, stitching, ear position, tail shape or overall appearance are all a natural part of the handmade process and are not considered faults.

These little quirks are what make every fox unique.

By purchasing a Fidget Fox, you acknowledge that you understand and accept that:

Every fox is individually handmade and naturally unique.

Small variations in appearance, shape, size and weight are expected.

Fidget Foxes are sensory companions and are not children's toys.

Your Fidget Fox should be inspected regularly and discontinued from use if damaged.
