About us

Through nature, we heal; through connection, we grow.

Holistic Development in Nature

Welcome to Mindful Wild Steps, a little home for families who value nature, connection, and whole-child growth.

What started as a few weekly sessions in the bush has grown into a full-circle offering for families raising curious, connected kids in Tasmania. From regular sessions to single events, resources and community supports, this space is always evolving, just like the wildlings who join us.

We believe children thrive in nature-rich, emotionally safe environments where they can play, explore and be truly seen. Our work blends nature connection, mental health, community, creativity and practical skills in a way that feels grounded and real.

These core principles guide everything I do:

1. Nature Connection

Nature is at the heart of what we do.

We believe we need real, hands-on experiences outdoors to grow and thrive.

Through exploring, observing, creating and simply being in nature, we build a deep connection to the land.

This value also includes caring for the Earth through sustainability, environmental stewardship and a respect for natural rhythms.

2. Community

We are stronger together.

Mindful Wild Steps is a place where families connect, support each other and feel a true sense of belonging.

Our sessions are designed to nurture mental health and wellbeing for both children and parents.

This value embraces building friendships, creating safe spaces, sharing experiences and holding space for each other.

3. Whole Child Growth

Everyone deserves to be seen as a whole person.

We support physical, emotional, social and cognitive growth through free play, hands-on activities, practical skills, creativity and healthy risk-taking.

This value encourages resilience, confidence, curiosity, problem-solving and self-awareness, giving children room to grow in every way.
