Payments and Refunds

  1. Regular Sessions, Minis, and Pop-ups: Payments must be made in full before the session starts. This ensures I can plan and prepare to provide the best experience for all our wildlings.

  2. Group Sessions and Events: Payments must be completed at least a week in advance to allow for necessary preparations, including resource planning and arranging care for my own children. Late payments may result in forfeiture of your spot.

  3. Refunds: Refunds are available within one week from the date of purchase. Beyond this, refunds will be provided as credit toward future sessions, not as cash.

  4. Weather Cancellations: No refunds for severe weather cancellations. Sessions will be postponed or credit will be given for a future session. (See more on weather at the bottom of our terms of service)

  5. Non-Attendance or Change of Mind: No refunds for missed sessions or changes of mind, though I may consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis.

  6. Taster Day Discounts: If you book a term after a taster day, I’ll offer a ‘day fee’ discount on the term booking. This won't cover the full taster day fee, but an amount equivalent to a day fee.

  7. Minimum Participants: Sessions require a minimum number of participants to proceed. If we don't reach this number, you'll be notified and offered a full refund or the option to roll over your booking to the next term.

  8. Payment Plans: If you have filled in a payment plan form, please ensure all installments are paid on time as per the agreed schedule to keep your spot secure.

  9. Child Privacy in Photos: As part of our sessions, photos may be taken where children’s faces are either turned away or blurred to protect their privacy. If you take photos, please kindly do the same. If you see an image of your child and would like it removed, please email me, and I’ll take it down right away.

Dynamic and Engaging Learning

At Mindful Wild Steps, I strive to create a dynamic learning environment that adapts to the needs and interests of our wildlings. Sessions might change based on product availability and child-led interests to ensure engaging and relevant experiences.

Parental Responsibilities

Supervision: A responsible adult must accompany children at all times to ensure safety and support.

Guidelines: Ensure your child follows safety guidelines and behaves respectfully.

Sessions

Term Length: Term sessions follow Tasmania's school terms, typically running in 10-week blocks.

Communication: Check your spam/junk folder for session information.

Balancing Roles

As both the founder and facilitator of Mindful Wild Steps and a Mumma, I balance professional and personal roles. Occasionally, my children may need my attention. Your understanding and support is greatly appreciated.

Location Flexibility

Unforeseen Issues: Occasionally, the location may not be suitable due to unforeseen circumstances. This can happen for various reasons, such as the area being unexpectedly closed, litter or glass left by others, natural hazards, or the space being occupied by others (for public space usage). While this is rare, I always do my best to prepare and resolve any issues where possible. However, some situations are beyond my control. Should this situation arise, you'll have the option to receive a refund or join me at an alternative location.

Thank you for being a part of our community.

Weather-Related Cancellations and Postponements

At Mindful Wild Steps, the safety and comfort of our participants is our top priority. Sessions may be cancelled or postponed under certain weather conditions. For our Mindful Minis sessions (ages 0-3), we apply extra caution and may cancel or postpone in less severe weather due to the younger age of the group.

Heat:

All Sessions: Cancelled or postponed if temperatures exceed 30°C.

Mindful Minis (0-3 years): May be cancelled or postponed if temperatures exceed 28°C.

Rain:

All Sessions: Cancelled or postponed during heavy rain (10mm or more per hour).

Mindful Minis (0-3 years): May be cancelled or postponed in moderate rain (5mm or more per hour). Light drizzle may still proceed with rain gear and sheltered areas.

Wind:

All Sessions: Cancelled or postponed if sustained winds exceed 40 km/h or gusts reach over 60 km/h.

Mindful Minis (0-3 years): May be cancelled or postponed if winds exceed 30 km/h.

Other Conditions:

Thunderstorms, Hail, Air Quality, and Flooding: Sessions will be cancelled or postponed if any of these conditions are forecast or actively occurring.

Please note that all cancellations or postponements are assessed on a case-by-case basis. We aim to make the best decision for everyone’s safety and comfort, taking into account any specific factors on the day.

We will notify participants as early as possible of any changes to sessions.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us create a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
