My journey; self-care, finding my village, following my passion.

Hi there! My name is Jane, and I'm excited to share my journey with you.

So grab a cuppa, find a nice comfortable place to relax and let's get into my very first blog post!

I hope I can inspire you, motivate you and build a community together!

I reside in the beautiful Tasmania, Australia.

I have four awesome children ranging from 1-13, they are the light of my life. I'm so grateful to be able to spend time with them every day, and to watch them grow and learn.

Some of my children are home educated, which can be challenging at times, but it's also incredibly rewarding. I love being able to tailor their education to their individual needs and interests, and to see them thrive in a supportive and nurturing environment.

I'm also a part-time student. I'm studying outdoor learning and forest school, which are subjects that have always fascinated me.

It's been a bit of a juggling act to balance my studies with my other responsibilities, but I'm finding ways to make it work.

I'm learning to be more efficient with my time, and to prioritize the things that are most important to me. I'm also fortunate to have a supportive partner and family who are always there to lend a helping hand when I need it.

I'm a new business owner. I've been running Mindful Wildschool since February 2022, but at the beginning of this year have just turned it into a business. It's been a dream of mine for years to start my own business, and I'm so excited to finally be making it a reality. It's a lot of work, but it's also incredibly fulfilling.

I was also recently diagnosed with ADHD, and it's been a real eye-opener for me. It's explained a lot of things in my life, like why I've always struggled with focus and organization, and why I tend to get easily overwhelmed and stressed out. But it's also given me a new sense of clarity and understanding about myself.

I'm finding ways to work with my ADHD, both in my studies and in my personal life and I'm trying to be more mindful of my own needs and limitations, and to be kinder and more patient with myself when things don't go as planned.

It's not always easy, and there are still days when I feel frustrated or discouraged. But overall, I'm feeling more positive and hopeful about the future.

I know that I have a lot to offer, both to myself and to the world, and I'm excited to see where this journey takes me.

My life is busy, crazy, and chaotic, but it's also full of joy and love and adventure.

One of the things that brings me the most joy is spending time with my family and with our Mindful Wildschool community in nature, it's a way of life for me.

I believe that children need to spend time outside, connecting with the natural world, and learning through play. I also believe that parents need to take time to slow down, connect with their children, and find joy in the simple things.

At Mindful Wildschool, we do a lot of different things, we create, explore, discover, connect and play.

We love spending time in the forest, learning about the plants and animals that live there, and exploring the natural world. We build forts, climb trees, and play games that help us connect with nature

We enjoy outdoor learning activities and we love making things with our hands. We use natural materials like pinecones, feathers, and leaves to create beautiful works of art.

We take time to connect with each other, too. We talk about our feelings, our goals, and our dreams. We also make time for freeplay, where the kids can run, jump, and play without any structure or rules.

I want to inspire others to get outside with their wildlings and find joy in nature

I believe in a holistic approach to learning, and I hope to bring that energy into this blog.

I know that it can be hard to find the time and energy to make it happen, but it's worth it. When we spend time in nature, we feel more connected to each other and to the world around us. We also feel more creative, more relaxed, and more alive.

As a mamma with ADHD, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to juggle multiple responsibilities. Homeschooling, housekeeping, studying, and running a business are all demanding tasks, and it can be easy to feel overwhelmed and discouraged.

However, I'm also proof that anything is possible with the right mindset and support system.

While it's not always easy, I've found ways to make it work by focusing on my strengths, staying organized, and seeking help when I need it.

One of the most important things I've learned is that it's okay to ask for help. Whether it's from my partner, family members, or friends, having a support system in place has been crucial to my success.

I've also learned to be kind to myself and to celebrate my accomplishments, no matter how small they may seem.

By focusing on the positive and staying determined, I've been able to achieve my goals and to show others that anything is possible, even with ADHD.

I've  found that spending time in nature helps me feel more focused, more present, and more at peace. It's a way for me to recharge and refuel, so I can be the best mum, student, and business owner I can be.

I hope that you'll join me on this journey where I'll share recipes of things we make, materials we use for our arts and crafts, pictures of our artwork with instructions and ideas for actives.

I'll share with you my tried and true ways to get your Wildlings (and yourselves) enthusiastic about being outdoors, navigate parenthood, homeschooling and more.

Whether you're a parent, a teacher, or just someone who loves nature, home schooling, natural living or is struggling with their diagnosis, I believe that there's something here for everyone.

Let's connect, create, and build a community of like-minded individuals who are passionate about the natural world.

Thank you for reading, and I hope to see you outside!
