Custom Vase

Share to:

Custom vases are a simple craft that gives children the opportunity to create something both beautiful and practical. Using recycled jars and acrylic paint, children can design a vase that reflects their own creativity and personality.

There are endless possibilities, from colourful patterns and nature-inspired designs to handprints, dots, stripes, and abstract artwork.

Once finished and sealed, the vases can be used for flowers, nature treasures, paintbrushes, pencils, or displayed as a keepsake.

You'll Need

• Clean glass jars
• Acrylic paint
• Paintbrushes
• Water container
• Protective covering for your work surface
• Clear sealant spray (adult use)

How To

Wash and dry the jars thoroughly before beginning.

Invite children to paint their jars using acrylic paint.

Decorate with patterns, pictures, nature-inspired designs, names, handprints, or any artwork they choose.

Allow the paint to dry completely.

Once dry, an adult can spray the jar with a clear sealant to help protect the design.

Allow the sealant to cure according to the manufacturer's instructions before use.

Fill with flowers, nature treasures, pencils, paintbrushes, or other special items.
