Kindness Bracelets

Share to:

Kindness Bracelets were created as part of our "Caring for Each Other" theme and encouraged children to think about the small actions that help build strong, caring communities.

Using pipe cleaners, beads, and colour reminders, children created wearable bracelets that represented different ways they could show kindness, awareness, compassion, teamwork, understanding, and listening.

The finished bracelets became more than just a craft. They were gentle reminders that every child has the ability to make a positive difference through the choices they make each day.

You'll Need

• Pipe cleaners
• Coloured beads
• Printed kindness prompt cards
• Scissors

How To

Invite children to read through the colour prompts and talk about what each one means.

Choose beads that match the different kindness reminders.

Thread the beads onto a pipe cleaner bracelet.

Encourage children to think about ways they can show each quality in their everyday lives.

Once finished, twist the ends together to create a bracelet.

Wear the bracelet as a reminder of the promises and values chosen.

What It Encourages

This activity supports:

• Kindness and empathy
• Social awareness
• Self-reflection
• Communication skills
• Fine motor development
• Community connection
• Positive relationship building

The bracelet becomes a simple visual reminder that caring actions can have a big impact on the people around us.

A Last Note

Our colour prompts included:

• Green shows I'll be understanding.
• Blue shows I'll listen to you.
• I'll always try my best to show yellow's awareness.
• I'll never ration purple's compassion.
• Brown shows kindness is truly priceless.
• With cream I'll remember to work as a team.

Children may connect with different reminders, and that's perfectly okay. The real value comes from the conversations and reflections that happen while creating them.
