Welcome to From The Fox Den

Lets Chat!

This is my personal space. A place where I share motherhood, neurodiversity, homeschooling, running a small business, and my love of nature and learning.

Sometimes I’m writing through thoughts, sometimes through feelings, sometimes just sharing what’s been on my mind.

It’s a blog shaped by real life, curiosity, and everyday experience.

Two young children are doing yoga on the floor in front of a fireplace with a fire burning. One child has long blond hair and is on a blue mat, the other has short hair and is on a floral mat. There are small toys scattered on the floor nearby.
A young woman with long, orange dreadlocks, wearing glasses, a necklace, and a strapless top, smiling outdoors with a decorated wooden bench and autumn leaves in the background.
A man and a woman are engaging in a hand gesture game in a dimly lit room decorated with string lights on the wall.

What You’ll Find on From the Fox Den

From The Fox Den is a mix of practical and personal writing.

Some posts share things I’ve learned through homeschooling my children, running a small business, or navigating everyday life with ADHD. Other posts are more reflective, thoughts on motherhood, mental health, relationships, interests, or whatever happens to be taking up space in my head at the time.

Some writing connects directly to my work with Mindful Wild Steps. Other posts have nothing to do with it at all. This blog gives me a place to be more than my work, and to share parts of myself that sit outside of what I offer professionally.

You might find something useful, relatable, or simply reassuring. You’re welcome to take what resonates, skip what doesn’t, and come back whenever it feels right.

A quick note:

Outside of sessions I also spend time keeping the website updated, planning activities, and managing bookings alongside study and homeschooling. You might see a few safe, Google-approved ads (via AdSense). They only bring in a small amount, yet every bit helps me keep this space running. If you ever notice something that feels out of place, please let me know at jayafox@mindfulwildsteps.com.

Thanks so much for being here and supporting this space.
